Two polymer notes of 500 and 5000 Vatu issued on 27.10.2017 and 28.07.2017 respectively. These two notes complete the Polymer series first issued in 2011 (10000 Vatu - 30th Year of Independence).
The designs on the front of the notes are basically the same as those issued earlier. However I noticed some minor changes: -
* The letter prefix is slimmer and looks taller/longer (difference font);
* Raised dots (tactile feature for visually impaired) are added on the upper edge of the notes, 2 dots for the 500 Vatu and 5 dots for the 5000 Vatu value;
The designs on the back for both notes are based on the same themes as those paper notes series but with new designs. The themes for these two notes are:
500 Vatu - Culture; and
5000 Vatu - Tourism.
Both notes are printed on Guardian polymer substrate materials.
These notes bear the signatures of;-
